Tatitas by Verve History
Where today there is Tatitas by Verve, it used to belong to Censa Grima (née Formosa). Later she had rented it out to the government for a while because it was being used as a police station.
In January 1968 the Piscopo Family who’s wife was the daughter of Censa arrived from Australia and Censa asked her daughter and her family to reside in it until they build their own home. The property went back to the family since the police station had moved to another building in the same square.
The last family who lived in the house were Carmen and George Micallef who later on vacated to the new build house in the same village.
Since then it remained vacant until Mr Lawrence Micallef bought if from the family of Censa and transformed it to Ta’ Titas, now Tatitas by Verve.
La storia di Tatitas by Verve
La storia del nostro Ristorante ha inizio nel 1968 quando i locali, dove oggi Tatitas by Verve svolge l’attivita’ di ristorazione, divenne proprieta’ di Censa Grima ( nata Formosa ).
La Famiglia Censa Grima successivamente affitto’ i locali al Governo che ne fece una stazione di Polizia.
La proprieta’ torno’ alla famiglia Censa in quanto la stazione di Polizia fu trasferita in un altro edificio nella stessa piazza.
Nel 1968 la famiglia Piscopo, la cui moglie era figlia di Censa, torno’ dall’Australia e la madre Censa chiese alla figlia e alla sua famiglia di risiedere negli stessi locali per il tempo necessario alla costruzione della loro casa.
L’ultima famiglia che visse nella casa fu Carmen e George Micallef che in seguito si trasferirono nella casa di nuova costruzione nello stesso villaggio.
Da allora rimase vuota finché il signor Lawrence Micallef la comprò dalla famiglia di Censa e la trasformò in Ta’ Titas, ora Tatitas by Verve.
